Let me know what you think :)

The picture that hooked me

It in my tank... its not as DEEP purple as it is in their pic, but it could be because of their lighting and i use LeD's... and also im sure its still adjusting

Lol. I saw that Milli and didn't buy it due to the green fluorescent putty. Doesn't seem so green in your pic!

There were some others with that funny green putty...

Yeah, neon green putty usually means altered coloration in the photo.

Nice snag regardless, although I wouldn't expect it to ever look like it did in their picture.

wow...thats not cool. Wonder if it was intentional or not.

Well they intentionally altered the contrast to make their coral looks a lot better than they really are...

Couldnt the shot from LA just be under actinic lighting and that's what's causing the putty to look neon? Hasn't anyone here seen a tank under fluorescent lighting? Lol. People are always so quick to say photos have been altered.. Smh

IMO it looks like the pic was taking under actinic lighting, then added white balance to brighten it up. Nothing wrong with that

Regardless, nice piece!

Dude almost all maricultured Sps have the green glue base. That is very common with wild Sps.

That's a beautiful piece of SPS. Love Millie's myself. My Favs. On another note. The white in. The whole photo including the polyps are green. I would call LA on that one. Was it Divers Den?

The pictures on divers den are very doctored. At the very least they turn the saturation way up.
That's a nice milli it will be interesting to see what it looks like in a month or two.

Nice! I have a really hot one that I've been trying to take a photo of for months, but I just can't seem to get the settings right. It never comes out like I'm seeing it in person.

"To provide ideal color & lighting for these species, these are photographed from above, illuminated under 20K 400 Watt Metal Halide lighting."

Not actinics. Either they lie about the lighting, or PS the heck out of them.

Regardless, it's a nice mille, and I hope it does well for you.

ya the flourescent green glue def gives away the edit or under some super actinics, i considered emailing them, but didnt really know what to complain about lol just for the fact im still 115% happy with the piece... :)

And yes i forgot to answer the question, it is from Diver's Den... :D

Nice millie and i wouldnt bother with emailing them i know someone that has before because their coral did not match the pic all liveaquaria did was make a bunch of excuses for why i didnt look right, but they did say if the coral was still not the right color after some time then to email them back. I dont know if the person ever did. Also if your happy with it then thats all that matters.

My blood red Millie encrusts in neon green growth when I got it but as I am light acclimating it, the green has faded....

we arent talking about the encrustation... its the puddy... the glue they used to attache the millie to the rock... in their pic it is flourescent green, in my pic it is white...
