I've read everything I can read about Ick and can't find my answer. My question is - I lost several fish to Ick, I treated the tank with Kick Ick and date of the last dose was 4/10/12, it had been about 1 week since I'd seen any signed on the fish. A few fish made it through though, my six line wrasse, 3 chromis and my pj cardinal. I know they can develop a tolerance and then just as suddenly loss that tolerance, because like I mentioned I've been reading all the threads out here on RC. I guess my question is, should I still not fool myself into thinking that the Ick is gone? Wouldn't they have gotten it by now if it was still in the tank? Hasn't it already gone through it' life cycle. I want to get a few more fish but for obvious reasons I'm a little scared.
Thanks in advance!!

ick can last 30+ days without a host. i would QT rest of the fish and future fish. Did you QT all your fish?

Unfortunatly I did not QT them when I got them originally. I will with any new fish. It' been almost 60 days since I've "seen" any spots. And I didn't QT them when they got ick, I just treated the tank and did lots of big water changes (even though I know that doesn't do much for Ick, but it made me feel better)

Is kick Ich the "reef safe" one?

Yes, it is

I would be careful with those. There are many miricale cure claims, but the fact is if one of these reef safe treatments worked reliably it would be all the rage. Marine ich has different cycles, just because it's not present on the fish doesn't mean it's not running rampit in your system. Also the parasites don't like light, the drop off during the day.

Pull the fish to qt, and keep them there for 12 weeks. At that point, ich will have manifested on the fish if it's going to, and will die out in the display. The miracle cures, you'll have guessed, aren't, or I assure you we'd happily use them instead of that very tiresome procedure.
