What do you prefer and why when blacking out the rest of the world to the breeding pair of fish in their own tank?

I'm debating painting, which seems like it would be easier to work with and less of a hassle, but permanent, vs using a black material, such as black garbage sack plastic, and taping it. The benefit to that is that it isn't permanent but might be a hassle trying to get it to stay in place and getting in the way.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

If I go with paint, what kind of paint do I use to paint the outside of the aquarium?

Thanks

I think I found my solution. I'm going to use some black material and that two sided velcro tape stuff

Krylon plastic fusion is what we use to paint our tanks inside and out if its needed.

Personally, I would go to a vinyl sign shop and get some black vinyl or go to pep boys and get some limo tint.
