Fluval edge owners

I have been doing some research for a protein skimmer for my fluval edge 6 gallon nano reef. i came across 2 HOB skimmer/filter combos. does any body know if these will fit.

The second one looks too tall. I have an edge set up for saltwater and run the stock filter. I do a weekly water exchange with my big tank and never had any issues.

I just modded mine to put 8 - LED MR11 bulbs on it. I have 5 whites and 3 blues. Looks 100 times better.
