Well the first chamber of a dual chamber reactor is about half way empty (ok maybe a little more than halfway) and after noticing some of the media turning to mush (not all just some spots) , I chk'd ph level and they were too low from first chamber. I adjusted co2 drip and effluent drip so ph is correct now.

Question is do I just topoff the media in the first chamber or do I remove all the left over media and replace all the first chamber media ?

Would having less than half the media in first chamber have caused the drop in ph coming from that chamber ?

Thanks in advance

If the media is allowing good flow, there's no need to replace it. If it has degenerated into fine sand, that might be an issue.
