Some help identifying

I don't even know where to put this since I have no idea what it is. I'm trying to get the polyps to close up enough to figure out what these are. They don't seem to go away with lights off. They are soft.

Are you talking about the black/grey growths?

If so, it looks like some sponge growth. I personally like the way sponges can add to the diversity of one's tank. Some can grow fast and compete with corals for space. I will cut/scrape off the sponge if this is the case.
