Flat brown spots,( look like freckles), near his tail and some on his tail. No obvious signs of distress such as lethargy, scratching, heavy breathing or loss of appetite so far.
Also noticed some black spots on my clowns...not sure if being paranoid but removed them and treating them with Prazipro but this looks very different. Not much advice from Fish Disease forum ..Any ideas??

Folks at PC didn't know what it was either...they said I may have a new fish disease named after me Ha ha!

Could it be velvet?

Doesn't look like velvet or anything I've seen pics of on any websites
Also there aren't any typical velvet symptoms

I had some of these spots on my clowns... they were bruises from them fighting or being stung by my hammer coral.

Gawd that would be awesome if a sting from a coral is all it is!!! Would GBTAs do that??!! I have 4...
I dosed Prazipro today to do SOMETHING at least. Research shows its very reef safe..we shall see. I just hope there's no ammonia spike from my tube worms and possibly snails dying

Depending on the size of your gbta's it could be them, especially if they are on the smaller side. Bigger ones would catch the fish and not let go (a very disappointing situation), but smaller ones might zap them a bit. Most fish are pretty good about staying far enough away from them to not get zapped though, but I definitely wouldn't rule it out.

So I remember finding my torch on the sandbed the other day and I'm thinking now the mystery is solved! Clumsy foxface must've knocked it over and got stung or visa versa
Woohoooooo!!! and phew!

As long as the fish is healthy a gbta shouldn't pose any threat. That hippo tang I got from you bob has swam through my RBTAs many times with out a scratch he doesn't even flinch when it brushes on his side
