Hi All,
Wow my first RC post! momentous.:bounce1:

Im after a bit of advice, I recently received a favia by courier but when it arrived the water was cloudy and their was an extremely unpleasant smell coming from the colony. The coral looked fine so scrubbed the gunk off the base (which I think was a dying sponge) I CoralRX dipped it and put it in my system. Anyway week or two later it is starting to lose the odd polyp/head.
Should I leave it and see what happens or cut it into frags (hopefully removing whatever stinks inside the colony) hoping to save at least one frag if some frags die?
Thanks in advance for advice

FYI everything else looks fine in the tank and my params looked good last night.

Well, fragging could either make it worse, by opening up new cuts or fragging could save this coral. It's a hit or miss.

Thanks, I kind if knew it could go either way though so that is why I asked for advice. The choice is do nothing or frag?:hmm5:

Posting some good pics of the coral would help asses if it would be wise to cut it or not.
