I've had the fish for almost 2 months. He becomes alert when I feed the tank but rarely actually eats anything, sometimes going right up to the food and ignoring it. I've tried flakes, garlic pellets, freeze dried mysis, frozen bloodworms, and algae wafers amongst others. The only thing he went crazy for, along with everything else in the tank, has been frozen brine shrimp. Any suggestions for what else to try that would be more nutritious?

He will try eating mini algae wafers that settle on the bottom but I think they are too hard for him. I don't know if he messes with them long enough to eat it or if it just hangs out of his mouth. The wafers were mainly dropped to my pistol shrimp and watchman goby which would take them into their burrow. However, all the other fish have now been attracted to the wafers. All the other fish eat plenty, especially the mysis which is what I give them the most.

He's eating something since he's still with you. Brine is not the most nutritious choice. Is he skinny? Maybe he is eating pods too. You could try breaking the algae wafer into a few smaller pieces that will break down a little quicker. If you haven't already tried Rod's frozen food give that a shot. I should see if they will hire me for advertising lol. I hadn't seen my goby for almost 2 weeks & once he figured out what that was I saw him everyday. He's back into hiding but the pistol grabs a chunk & runs back into the burrow so he's still getting a fix.
