My sump decided after a month to crack the entire length of the back and leak 15 gallons of water.
I have the cheato and the salvaged water running in a 13 gallon tall trash can I use for RODI. The whole filter is now a trash can!
I am off to Premium Aquatics in the AM to buy an acrylic sump/fuge.
I assume there is nothing to do or worry about. My sump was bare bottom, just the cheato and a few snails.
Thanks.
Justin

Oh, and sorry to hear.
Was the side that cracked drilled?

Looks like the baffle was too tight. Hence why it cracked. Acrylic does expand, so leaving a bit of room between acrylic baffle and the glass is a very good idea

$1/gallon sale at Petco going on right now. You can pick another 40B up for pretty cheap.

Yeah, I would take advantage of the petco deal. Good luck with your decision, I guess I'm lucky I have tile flooring.

I just went up to Premium Aquatics and purchased the Trigger Systems Ruby 30L Sump. Nice piece of equipment.
As for the baffles, could be, I made the 1/16" smaller than the width. Good point. Nice thing was this came from the $1.00/Gallon sale.
