Hydor Slim Skim Nano Protein Skimmer - S03202 is the skimmer i would like to put in my nano reef tank but my tank is only 30cm high and the slim skim is 30cm so can any one tell me if this be ok as the skimmer will be top to bottom , does it take in water from under or can the bottom of the slim skim be pushed to the bottom of the tank ?

and

does any one know if the slim skim is noisy ?
or
if there is a better small nano skimmer out there ( not noisy !! )

thank you

you cant hear the skimmer since its inside the water. but id caution you from getting it. i hated it when i had it on my 25 gallon. i had it for less than a month and upgraded from there. it just takes up space in the tank and releases a tremendous amount of microbubbles

So what would be better ? Need a small or hang on skimmer that's not noisy and works well
