Can I cut acrylic?

I bought a ussed tank where the euro brace cross beam had been repaired. There is some overhang. Whats the best way to trim it up with the least amount of mess?

Ok cool I'll try to get one from work. I've got a dremel tool, but maybe i was using the wron bit.
