A RIO 1700+ or the older 2100 would fit that bill perfectly. I used one on my tank for 6+ years (the same pump) until I switched to a Quite One for a little more flow. RIO's have a bad rap most places, but they are cheap and bullet proof in my experience. Just make sure you get the non Plus version if you go with the 2100. The regular uses 23 watts, the plus 37.

You are going to be hard pressed to find another pump in that flow rate that uses less power.

I too may be one of the few who have had good luck with rio. Check a place called pet mountain. They've got some good prices on rio. I got a HF 20 for $67. Marine depot wanted $99.

Chalk up another positive, multi-year, experience using Rio.

if you can use external Reeflo Blowhole pumps are quiet, versatle, low wattage and because they are 3 speed pumps would allow you to grow. great customer service to boot

what about Tunze return pumps are they good ?
Many people are using Eheim but it use lot of power 60W in my opinion that is too much.I look at Tunze reviews they are not that bad.If I have 120 gal tank I will go for Eheim but for 65 gal tank 60W of power is too much what you guys think electricity this days are $$$$$$$$$$$$.
so I'm trying to base on your experience find long lasting and efficient return pump which is hard too many of them

Is that good idea or bad ?

really slow flow through the sump allows skimmers and fuges to work better. i think around 300-500 gph. there are many opinions on this matter

I have a reeflo 3 speed blowhole 1100 . It is external pump but similure speed of the pump draws different amounts of watts in correlation to the number of gallons it pushes .lower watts less gallons per hour. More watts more gallons per hour.

I'd go with the Tunze 1073.05. You can dial it in to your liking. That's my preference.

Yep I was thinking about this model to Tunze 1073.05
Probably I have to change overflow and go Eshopps they have 300 and next is 800 gph
PF-300 6" x 3" x 10" H Up to 75 gallons Single 300 gph
PF-800 8" x 3" x 10" H Up to 125 gallons Single 800 gph
Which one is better choice?
