View Full Version : More light = more branching, right?

Hi all,

I'm writing my MS thesis on a coral nursery project, and one of the comparisons I'm making is between two staghorn nurseries at different depths (one at 10ft, another at 24ft). I know different hydrology will affect coral morphology, specifically that more current and wave action can make branching corals grow denser. I'm pretty sure this is true with light intensity as well (more light = denser growth), and have seen it between different reef setups. Anyone have a lit source, or even a quote in something like RK Magazine supporting this notion?
