I made a fresh batch of fish food over the weekend. I used 4 clams, 4 squids, 5 scallops, 6 shrimp, 4 cubes of Mysis, 4 cubes of brine shrimp, 3 cubes of krill, a few inches of spiralina flake, some pellets and a finely chopped up sheet of nori. I cut it all up by hand small enough for everyone to eat it, I left some peices semi large for the the tangs and wrasse. I then laid it flat in the freezer in a ziploc bag.
I just pinch off a small amount, thaw it in tank water and dump it in. They go nuts on it!
It cost me about $7 in all, I made 2 bags so it should last for a few months.
Is anyone else making there own?
What do you use?

Yep, saw those.
Anyone else making their own? How are your fish responding to it?

i made my own with similar ingridients you used. I added garlic (and the juice) and also liquid baby vitamins as well. I have using it for over 4 months now. The fish love it! At this rate, I will have enough to last the rest of the year, and I only spent about $10 total.

You guys just blend everything and pour it to the tank?

No, I out it all in a zip lock bag and freeze it. Then break off a piece, thaw it in a cup of tank water, then pour it in.

I froze mine in 2 large zip lock baggies and also found 2 plastic ice cube trays (the kind with small cubes). I brake off a little piece each eveing and thaw it in tank water and then use a turkey baster to feed the tank.

I preportion mine in 2oz portion cups (about 1/2 tablespoon in ea) I pop it out in a small cup of tank water and dump it in. Makes it easy.
