I currently have a three-spot angel in my tank and would like to get another angel that would be compatible with it.
My 800 litre tank is primarily sps with some lps and the three-spot has been well behaved to date. Other tankmates are a selection of butterflies, large naso tang and a few small non-issue fish.
Ideally it would something a little different rather than your more common examples, but at a sensible price so no goldflakes!

I would definitely avoid another Apolemichthys angel, too much possibility for aggression. For the short time my Flagfin was in my display, it was completely fine with my Coral Beauty dwarf and I certainly wouldn't be afraid of trying it with any dwarf, except the yellow ones. Genicanthus angels may be possible too, but I haven't tried that combo.

Chaetodontoplus angels are my favorite genus, lots of beautiful fish with bold personalities and all should be compatible with a flagfin. I have kept Meridithi and bluelines and although expensive (not goldflake pricy, well except the conspic) they are amazing fish. On the lower end of the price scale is the melanosoma or grey poma and these can usually be had for around 50, and a nice conspic will set you back 1500 or more at the upper end. I picked up my blueline and my last meridithi for 200 each (divers den has a nice female for 200 now) and love both of these species. I have had good luck with this genus for reef compatibility as well.

I've kept a flagfin with a majestic and dwarf angels with no issue. My majestic is a model citizen. I've never seen it eat anything it wasn't supposed to, with the possible exception of an anthelia frag ("possible" because I didn't actually see him eat it, but he was very interested when I put it in his tank and within an hour it was gone).
You're lucky your flagfin behaves itself with corals - mine was a coral-eating fiend, and I don't think that's unusual.
