View Full Version : Skimmer suggestions
I'm looking for skimmer options for my tank. It is a 40B with a 20l sump and I will be drilling the tank. I'm not made of money, so budget friendly is a huge plus, but I don't want something useless either. So what, in your opinion, is the perfect blend of budget and function when it comes to a skimmer.

I'm new too, did a little research and ended up getting the eshopps PSK 75, seems to work still breaking it in. Price seemed reasonable, maybe some others could chime in. Only complain I have so far is the adjustment is really picky..

I like the Reef Octopus recirc line. More expensive that the one listed above, but mine does an amazing job. I would go with the #4 model in your case.

I would look into some of the Eshopps skimmers as well. Check this out.

+2 Reef Octopus NWH150, is what I got on my 40B, Fit;s nicely in my 20L sump. It's rated for 100gal, but I intend on a heavy bioload with lots of SPS.

The NWB150 is rated for 150 gallons. The NWB110 is for 100 gallons and much smaller so I would use that instead
