Grow rics on overflow

I searched and searched, but I couldn't find anything on this...

Will rics be okay if they are glued vertically on an over flow? Will they hang down? Any adverse effects? They are on a very flat disk, so the disk will be glued and not the rics directly...

only reason it wouldn't work is if there was too much flow or light where your overlow is located. I mean, they hang vertically on rocks sometimes.
