I was reading a thread last week about having multiple filter socks, so that the daily cleaning was able to be accomplished by having a handful, and throwing them in the washing machine one a week or so, with great results. I just don't remember the answer to one questions.

Seems a dumb question to ask, but it is what I am famous for...

Do you just wash them in hot water? Do you add bleach? I cannot imagine soap would be a good idea, is it?

I've picked up a couple extra socks to be able to do this, I just want to make sure I am doing things right!

Hot water and bleach. Two rinse cycles and hand rinse until you can't small bleach.

I just throw them in the wash with the rest of my whites. I do give the sock a good rinse before I use it again though. No problem.

I do a load once a month. I use bleach and Oxyclean whit an extra rinse cycle. After it runs it gets another regular wash cycle with no cleaners, just water.
