I am putting together a 180 and I am considering these powerheads. my return pump is a reeflo dart/snapper hybrid. So if anyone has any experience with these powerheads I would like to hear from you thanks

i have the koralia 750 and its great... I had a problem with it... It would spin back wards if i unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in . I emailed them and they sent me replacement parts at no charge to me!!! Working great ever since

From my research the magnum 7s are not loud like some people say the 8s are. When I had my 180 I was planning on using a couple 7s. Now with my larger cube tank I'll have to find something different, but I think the magnum 7s would be a good powerhead for you. Hydor has great customer service and has replaced broken parts at no cost. The only negative I can say about them is that they are pretty large and are somewhat of an eye sore.

I love them. I've a magnum 8 in the 180g and 2 magnum 7 in the 125g and they all work great. If heat (18W mag 8 vs 12W mag 7) is not an issue then go with magnum 8.

I'd 2 koralia 4 that died and I mailed in for service without receipt and they determined with the serial code it was a little over 2 years old and they replaced both without an issue.

Thanks for the input. I don't really have to worry about heat. My tank room is in my basement so the temp stays fairly constant. and only one small window so sunlight is not an issue. The physical size is the only thing that I would consider a downside. but for the price I could overlook it. I thought I maybe could place them near the corner overflows and hopefully blend in a little bit. I have a couple 750's in a 30 gallon I set up a few years ago and never an issue.

I just found the receipt for the magnum 8 and it was purchased in Nov 2008 and been using it since without a hitch.

I recently put 10 of the evolution 14's in my 400G tank and run them with a red sea pro wave maker. They work awsome with no issues. Only sound that I hear is when the click on, but it's just a quick little click. After a while, you don't really notice it.

i have 2 kolraias 1050 on my 65gal reef and they reach across the length and width of the tank perfectly so that i can keep my SPS, LPS, and sofites happy, i also have a MAG 7 as my return and have NO complains with it, but when u first get it it is quiet loud as i think they have break in periods or something cause after a week or so the noise stopped and it works GREAT,

Thanks again for all the input. I have hinted around to my wife a wave maker would be a nice christmas present. only time will tell
