Hi Guys,

Just received my 6206 wave box and all I can say is the quality is not there. It worked for about an hour now the pump is sticking, if get it turning again it only works for 3-6 pumps then sticks again.

Anyone else have this problem?

I am very disappointed in Tunze quality I knew I should have went with the Vortechs but I liked the idea of the natural wave motion...

I have been passed around to different voicemails trying to get this resolved. I fear I have just wasted hard earned money...

Well figured out the issue and it all comes down to build quality. The bottom piece that the motor mounts tolerance is all off allowing the impeller to hit the edge and stick.

Maybe it doesn't like being in Ontairo and would prefer to be in Ontario? :D All kidding aside, did you maybe break the plastic when putting the motor in or taking it out? It is very rare for these devices to have issues, most of the ones ever made are still in service or just wore out from old age, of course it is possible that something was amiss from the start but that is a rarity.

Well, it doesn't have to be a total loss. I'll give you $50 for it an then you can put it toward a Vortech. PM me for shipping address.

or

You can contact Tunze USA and they will take care of it just the same as Ecotech would have if yoou had a problem with their product.

I will give you $55 for it. Greg already has a lot of nice toys. :p

Seriously though try the Tunze forum and give it some time.

I never took the unit apart but you can see the crack on the bottom, its like the plastic weld was not done correct as there is a large bubble where the crack is.

Tunze will take care of it, they have one of the best, if not the best customer service around.

i have the same unit and its a monster to say the least . yes its light weight plastic design may seem cheap but there would be no added quality in waves if it was heavier built so use it and enjoy like i do .
