So this sub-thread looks pretty dead to me, but appears to be exactly what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any idea what species or common name for this mushroom is? A friend of mine bought a whole 8 gal. biocube setup and this was included on the live rock. It appears brownish in the picture, but in person it is a pale, translucent pink. Any help would be appreciated.

Its hard to ID shrooms sometimes. From what I can see Id guess Rhodactis by the frills and furry surface.

+1, bleached out Rhodactis, they tend to prefer lower light

I agree Rhodactis, but it could be a baby. It seems the babies that pop up in my tank start out translucent at first and then color up as they mature..
