Where do you dose additives/supplements?

So where do you all dose supplements such as aminos or zeo stuff? In the return section of the sump, or directly into the tank? If I dose into the tank, it seems like a lot goes straight into the overflow and down to the sump section that has my sock and skimmer in it. I have bio pellets and carbon running from a T off my return, so if I dose into the sump return section, some might go directly to either reactor instead of up to the display....what do you all think?
