So, I got really tired of not having a tank to take care of...

I put this together in like 2 minutes:
Its just under 2" wide and just over 3" long.

The macro has been sitting in a dark tank since I took down all my others. The salinity in that tank was atleast twice what it should have been, and the Nitrates were above 50. The macro has started to turn green from lack of light. But now that I have it lit it will start coloring up a bit more.

The tank totals just under 0.08 gallons. Later I plan on drilling it and using airlines to create an overflow, then a Tom's Aqualifter as the return pump, for a 7X turnover rate. The sump will be 125x the size of the display(10g), and in that, a skimmer and a filter sock. Later I plan on adding a 20g display refugium. No stocking plans as of yet. Maybe a mysid or a couple of those hawaiian red shrimp.

The eventual goal is to, I guess glue it to a rotating platform, a single, 9w color changing GU10 will be mounted on the platform and a flexible arm will allow me to position it. The tank will be drilled, and I will use rigid airlines for the standpipes, and flexible tubing below. The return pump will be a .22lph (7x turnover rate) dosing pump, with another .22lph pump in a closed loop. These will be housed just below the platform and will rotate. The intake lines from the 10g sump will be extra long, and will be mounted on a rail, so when the system rotates, it moves up and down, preventing these lines from being removed from the water. Filtration will be provided by a filter sock, an AC90 refuge mod w/chaeto, an extremely over-sized protein skimmer(DIY, 2' high, 9" wide), a decent sized algae turf scrubber, GFO, carbon, and rock rubble. The sump features include; automatic top-off, accent lighting, phytoplankton dripper, and a DIY Arduino controller. I'm going to make the platform and base out of black acrylic, the drilled side of the tank will be painted black, and all the plumbing will be covered by a black acrylic box, that will also fit around the light base.

Stock list goes as such:
-My red macro algae
-1 Sunny-D Palythoa
-1 Fire&Ice Zoanthid
-4 Opae ula shrimp
-1 jv. Sohal tang

I wonder if you could keep a Flaming Prawn Goby. With an aqua lifter you could use a pill bottle drill the bottom run an air line in the drill the top run an air line out add some carbon and a bit of pre filter mat and whala a micro canister for a micro nano.

It looks good. It would be really cool if you made it a closed loop system with 2 display tanks hooked together and have alternating light cycles to avoid pH issues in such a small tank. The tank algae should be able to feeing the HI shrimp so you would only have to mess with the tank maybe once a month. Evaporation would be minimal too.

Don't you love when others write that is great but.....

I was considering making a tiny protein skimmer, with the main body being a rigid piece of airline..

The eventual plan is to plumb a T20g LPS/Pred tank into the 10g sump. The sump/fuge will be on an alternate lighting pattern. I may also plumb a 5.5g softie tank into the 10g sump as well..

My plan is great, no buts ;P . I know this isn't the smallest aquarium, but I think it will be the smallest, plumbed aquarium :celeb2:

On a side note there is a fw hobbyist who does minitures in this size range. I don't remember his name but he is on the planted tank forum.
