ID on a cucumber

So the lights turned on and I found this not so little guy on the sand...I have never noticed him nor do I know how he got in. Any idea on what type and if he's good or bad?

That's what I think also. I have a couple now as they pop off little babies of themselves. Here is the mother.

I thought that at first. However, my neighbor had one and it was more pink. Mine is like a brown/beige color. Do they come in multiple colors?
