So at 8:00am this morning my wife swung open our bedroom door where I was sound asleep and screamed "Hurry! The fish just jumped out of the tank and is on the floor behind it!" As I stumbled down the stairs thinking it was some sort of nightmare it became real when I reached her using the 4' long grabber we have to retrieve it! She was almost stuck between the tank and wall when she yelled "I got it!" She somehow was able to catch it by the rear Finn and raised it up to drop it back in the tank! It looked a bit scary at first as it floated around like a woulded submarine... But all is well! Just be carefull when feeding, to pay attention to psychotic, Wrasses! Shwooooo.... Lol!

Glad it worked out for you in the end - I remember watching my blue spotted jawfish test the structural security of my tank lid :spin2:

What type of cover do you use?
Twice now my flame hawkfish has jumped out of my tank, behind the stand onto the carpet where I can't reach from either side. I had to use a dirty old lacrosse stick to scoot him to where I could reach him. I held him under the water and rubbed the dust off him until he swam away on his own.
I have since made a cover
