Looks nice :) Pardon my ignorance, but why the vinegar?

Are you familiar with carbon dosing?

I'm not, as I'm really really new :)

Is that a hammer in your last pic?

Dionysius

Well the really quick version of carbon dosing is you add vinegar to your tank and it causes a bacteria bloom. The bloom consumes nitrate mostly and phosphate. The bacteria then get skimmed out. And yes it is a green hammer.

Them palys above are real pretty! There is a product called Chemi pure elite that is pretty cheap and lasts like 6 months that would do more for you than vinegar I think. But whatever your doing seems to be working....

I've used Chemi pure, and have liked it in the past. Thank you for the compliment, everything is growing like weeds.

A little update I just ordered a tunze top off with the tunze calcium dispenser and a phosoban 150 reactor. I'm going to start running a little kalk. Anyone have any useful tips for running kalk?

Very nice looking tank...

And that re-scaping decision was a good one... your scape went from the basement to the penthouse!

And that re-scaping decision was a good one... your scape went from the basement to the penthouse! I hated it before I redid it. But thanks for the compliment. Are the pictures coming out really big? I do everything on my phone and can't tell how big they are?

What are your calcium levels? Low? Do you need to start dosing already?

Switching your rocks from one wall in the back to two sides was a good idea, it looks a lot better now. Are you editing your pictures or anything? the colors on your coral look amazing.. sorry if that's a stupid question.

What are your calcium levels? Low? Do you need to start dosing already?I dose calcium every five days. Alk is the biggest think I have to dose. I'm going to start slowly switching my tank over to kalk using my top off.

Its very hard to get a good picture without having it all washed out.
