I am moving my tank this weekend from our old place to our new one.

I am concerned about getting the clam out of the tank without killing it. The tank is a barebottom with starboard siliconed to the glass. The clam is small but has attached itself to the star board.

any ideas about how to get it to loosen it's grip so it can be moved safely?

Razor knife and gentle hands, if all else fails you can use Visa, Mastercard, Discover or any bank card (they accept all) to gently and safely remove Mr. Clam from the starboard. Key here is gentle and clean! :) :)

if you have to cut make sure you do it as close to the starboard as possible

Have a similar issue, but my clam is on a flat piece of LR. Can't use a credit card for this. Any other ideas?
