I have 3/4" acrylic tank walls and my 6095s and 6055s feel like they're barely gripping. I'm worried about them falling off. Do you need bigger magnets for 3/4" and above?

It depends on when they were made. The models made since February are actually only capable of about 5/8", before February they came with the strongest magnet we offer for these pumps and 3/4" was the limit. Keep in mind that both magnets are waterproof, if you have a thinner walled overflow, the simple solution is to mount them on the overflow. The 6025.501 extension magnet will boost the hold of units made since February to 3/4". The newer magnet holders that are weaker have a larger diameter outside magnet holder where the old one for 3/4" is inside and outside the same diameter.

Wow, this is disappointing. I bought a full Tunze set for use on my larger tank and I'm finding out that I can't use them on the 3/4" acrylic. Is there any plan to upgrade the magnets?

You could put a superstrong magnet on the outside of the tank and that should suffice.

Not for the Nano models, they are made for smaller tanks and anything up to 180 gallons will typically be 3/4" or less. For the full size streams we have magnet holders for up to 1". We include magnets that will work with the typical size tanks the pumps are used for, if you plan to use it on thicker material we have upgrade magnets but 3/4" is the biggest possible for any Nano Stream and 1" is the biggest possible for a Stream.
