What are your opinions on them? I have one in my tank and it just seems to take away some of the natural look of the tank.. What do you think?

I agree that it takes away from the tank, but sometimes you need a place for frags while you find a new home for them.

I have always had them they come in handy if you ever need a temporary spot for a coral.

I don't mind the looks.

An aquarium is a box in a room in my house...

I already know I'm not in the ocean ;)

Is it a permanent addition? I have three I use but will take them out when the frags are sold.. They are great to acclimate corals to LED's though

Yea true, not sure if I am going to be having any more frags in my tank since its getting pretty full. Here's a pic of my tank, I think is blocking too much light right there for new corals to go on the rocks, I'm thinking on putting corals that will cover that whole wall.

Can you see it on the top right?

I had them in my tank, but never liked the look of them.

I have a frag grow out tank now, so problem solved.

I agree that they are great for acclimation and keeping frags until they are sold. After that I'll remove it.

+1 its all a personal preference.. I personally try not to frag any of my coral just because.. well.. I dont really know... i just frag that GSP which is just plain out invasive.. and when I do I'll just give it to local reefers... thats how I got mine..
I like to get my frags to colonies.. and big ones if i can.. but I am happy that folks keep'em cuz I buy my frags from fellow reefers who keep'em in their tanks... so all in all nothing new said... just my $.02

I have one and would like to move it to the qt tank and make that the frag tank since i am not buying any coral anyday soon..but my main gripe is with the magnets corroding and leaking metal all over the tank ..two racks have bloated and done that so keep an eye on them ..good luck

Oh yea I didn't even think about the magnets corroding, why don't they just I case them in a thin plastic
