Help plumbing two overflows together!

I have two overflows I bought from a fellow reefer with a mag 9.5. Return pump I need help figuring out in lamens terms how to set it all up any and all help is appreciated guys. I was told to use a T-connection to bring the two together to one sump which is my proflex model 3. http://i.imgur.com/NQ4au.jpg

Are the two overflows on one tank, or is this two systems with one sump? Either way, I would just bring them together with a T fitting and run it to the sump. Do the same for the return.

On my setup, I used 1" pvc into the T and 1.25 out of the bottom. Two sides have redusers to fit the 1" but the T is 1.25".
