Just picked up a frag today from my lfs. He suggested feeding mysis shrimp twice a week. I am currently using Rods Original mix to feed the rest of my tank and was thinking of using their coral blend for the sun. Do you think this would be better than just mysis? What is the best method to feed them and prevent my shrimp from grabbing the food out of them? Does twice a week feeding sound ok or should I feed more?

So mysis twice a week would be fine?

I feed my sun corals three times per week (a mix of cyclopeze and mysis). I can't help with the shrimp. I sometimes have to "shoo" away my coral shrimp. Sometimes I simply feed it a little off to the side to keep it away from the corals.

Four times per week, if I count the ZoPlan I feed just about everything once per week.

One last question. How much do you feed?

Do I have to make sure that each polyp gets some food?

I thaw out a cube of mysis, mix in some water, and use a turkey baster to make sure every one gets fed. Takes some time but it went from never being open to just about any time food hits the water opening right up. I too have to make sure nothing takes the food from it though.
