Protien skimmer

About two weeks ago i bought a protien skinmer nd it broke in aftr about a week and was skimming well, i then bought a new sump and took out the skimmer for maybe 2 hours since then it has not been skimming . Is it because it has tto be broken in again ? Please help.

No, we need some additional information. Make and model would help. How have you set it up? Have you adjusted it? Is the pump throwing bubbles, but you're not getting skimmate in the cup?

Assuming you didn't scrub the whole thing out, it might take a few hours to maybe a day to get going again. The bio-film probably dried out and needs to get wet again. No worries.

It is a bubble magus nac3 sitting in about 6.5 inches of water. Where should i have the bubble level set at right now it is about half way up the collection cup
