Hello Fellows,

I have an pico reef to 53cm x 53xcm x 53cm (132 inch x 132 inch x 132 inch). Now, I can construct my DIY LED ilumnation spot.

This tank have 15cm of DSB and I want to have LPS and soft corals.

How many leds do I need ?
I think in 10 leds of 10w with 60º lens. 5 whites and 5 blues.
It is enough ?

Bes regards,

Victor Peres

Your math may me a little off, 132" is almost 3 meters. Since that wouldn't normally be considered a pico reeef, I suspect that 53cm is the correct measurement, about 20". I haven't really looked into the 10w LEDs but 24 to 30 3w LEDs would be about right so I suspect that you would be OK with 8 of the 10w chips.
You may want to consider getting some other colors in there, maybe add a couple 3w Violets and blues.

I am doing led's from cree and will be using Royal Blue, Cyan, Deep red, White, and what they call True Violet, its a few nm from ultra violet, but thats ok. Definitely try to cover as much of the spectrum as you can.
