How long a fallow period does a tank require before the organisms of Velvet are all gone? Have seen this discussed a lot with ICH but not Velvet.

Six weeks.

Too late to edit: Because fish with velvet are badly compromised, they can be prime targets for ich. Before moving, I (really, one of my kids)often treated fish for a LFS and their customers. At least three times the fish had ich as well as velvet. Unless I could be sure that the fish with velvet came from an ich-free source (possibly impossible?); I'd sleep better going 9+ weeks fallow.

This. Velvet would be eradicated at six weeks as previously indicated.
