Check out the Tunze 1073.xxx line. I know they work with the Apex. No experience with the Profilux

The tunze wont work I'm needing to find a pump that can be controlled with a 0-10 v signal was looking at the waveline but they aren't third party controllable yet

Look at Eco blue.
I'm just getting ready to wire mine into the profilux, should have the parts in a few days.

Question on the Eco Blue pump -- Can it be used as as a constantly variable speed pump - oscillating from 30 to 70 % all the time. Or just to lower it for feeding or nighttime ?

For connecting it to your controller did you get support from the manufacturer, or are you experimenting on your own?

Thanks,

Dave B

It comes with a RJ45 connection on the control panel so its an easy wire in to the profilux. Now for what the pump is capable of doing, well I havent got there yet. Now I do know that there is a separate controller made specifically for these pumps that has a wave setting, so Im sure I can figure something out, just need the time to do it. Ill post as I get it solved.

Venotec out of Germany also makes pumps that are controllable by the Profilux, however they are spendy. they even have the interface for the Profilux already. I looked at those as well as the Wavelines Looks like I have one more option to look at as well.

I have a waveline as well, they are a nice little pump. but only 6 preset speeds.I use it on my frag system off my main.
The 5000 may be a bit small for your system, maybe look at a 10000, although it will not be controllable through your profilux.

Yes they are pricey. I bought all 3 eco blues plus shipping for less than one abyzz. All in all, I believe they are very similar pumps.

All you need is a vfd and a good 3 phase motor.

Stu did it not to long ago but just programmed the motor through the VFD iirc.
Here is the thread...

The Reeflo pumps can be modified to work and Reeflo might even be able to supply the units to you with the correct motors stock. Not to sure about that but its worth a call.

I'm currently running two Eco blues, already a variable speed. I just wanted to control it with the profilux as apposed to programming the controller supplied with the pump or manually doing it.
Now to figure out how to program it to feeding and maintainance.
I'll should have it done this weekend.
