Thanks. I freaked when i finally saw tissue recession on the spawn, even was going to have a another local reefer hold it, thinking my nitrate was screwing it up. Stopped the (what I now know is extreme flow for a Lps) and its improved greatly.
The trumpet is really cool. I like it. :bounce2:

Trumpets are extremely hardy too. I bought my first piece over a year ago and it was nearly dead, very little tissue left and it was bleaching. Now it has 8 heads and is doing great.
Most LPS are going to favor low-medium flow. :D

Yeah, I was rocking 1090 gph total from 3 power heads. It was too much. Backed down to 2 at 850 gph and no direct flow. It's a lot better.

Great news the trumpet is nearing completion separating the left head into 3 separate heads! Really cool, I'll post a picture when the wife is done with the camera. So neat to watch it happen over the past couple of days.

I am having problems with the frogspawn. I hope it pulls through.

Everything looks great.
Reduce the flow on the frog and give it some food.

looking good. i recommend turning off all your powerheads for around 2 hours right before lights out. feed small mysis shrimp. mix it in with some "FUEL" and some other coral foods. hammers torches and froggys seem to ADORE oyster feast... let the corals "slime" once most of the slime has been retracted then you can reactivate your pumps.. the slime that is pulled back into the coral actually seems to enhance the coral colors and seems to sprout more "branches"
mine has gotten six heads in less then six months!

can you please show some pictures of that slime you are talking about?
Do you put the food right on top of them?
I've tried to feed my hammer many times before and never saw it react to any food...
Thanks!
