I got some awesome jugs for collecting NSW the only thing is that they were used to hold non toxic soap.. I have rinsed them thoroughly and let them sit with water in them. Now the question is do you think that they will be ok for getting water for my reef?

Might be worth letting some 0 TDS RO/DI sit in the jugs for a few days and then testing that water for phosphates. You're probably ok to use these, but really hard to say for sure.

Fill 1/3 with water and shake to see if you get soap bubbles. If not, run standard water tests and see if the water quality is acceptible. IMO, it should be fine after vigorus rincing.

If you see zero sign of foaming after vigirously shaking RODI water that has sat for an hour or so in the containers, I would have no worries at all.
