Why is a camel shrimp inside of a reef tank? If anything there is your answer

I kinda got it as an oops from my LFS. Didn't even notice him until I was pouring him and four other peppermint shrimp into my tank. I haven't seen the little bugger for almost a month so I just assumed hes been hiding in the rockwork or dead. I still consider him there because I don't know for sure. Any idea how to catch him if he is still in the tank?

What gives you the idea something is eating it

It was one of the first corals I purchased almost 5 months ago and within the last week a small strip about an inch wide and two to three inches long has developed right along the base of the coral. The strip is very bright white compared to rest of its foundation which is a brownish color. I'll take a pic when I get a chance.

I need to see a picture to be sure that something is eating it. The goniopora may just be dying. They can be tricky to keep alive.
