i have 40 breeder that i bought used and i want use it for a sump in my reef/stomatapod system, i know the former owner used it for a turtle tank for a good amount of time becouse theirs a line etched in the glass wear the waterline was.
i don't know much about turtle keeping and i'm wondering if anyone knows if their might be any kind of harmfull residues from the turtle, foods or medications that might have been used in the tank that a basic cleening will not remove.
thanks

i'd make sure its not a reptile tank first. then wash with vinegar and water.

As long as it's designed to hold water, it should be fine. I would wipe it down well with vinegar, as suggested.
