Vortechs 'Rebuilt wet side'

Why is it that I always see Vortech's with rebuilt wet sides even when they are only a year old? Do they crap the bed that easy or is it most likely from people stopping them and something like a snail climbing in before it turns back on?

They do wear out and those that dont perform regular maintenance will see theirs wearing out earlier. The MP60 is supposed to be computer balanced where there mp 40 is not. This should lead to a longer life. I can say my 60 is way quieter than my 40 and the 60 is 2X the flow.

I'm working on getting one off the used equipment forum. Do we have any great threads about regular maintenance or is is straight forward and there is a routine to it? Like wash it in vinegar every two months or when you see it starting to build up?
