thanks for the link. does the life cycle (from egg to adult in less an year) meaning they will die soon after they become an adult?

I heard that their lifespan was about 2 years, in the exception of the Giant Pacific Octopus which has a much bigger lifespan.

Octopuses are cephalopods.

uuuummmm, are you asking about amphipods or cephalopods? cephalopods are octopi and related animals, amphipods are little bugs, like tiny fleas that live in the rock, and this is definitely the wrong forum if thats what your asking about...
