I want to run my chiller on its own pump instead of off my return pump. I was thinking about putting the chiller pump in the second chamber next to my media basket and then having the return from the chiller in the DT. I figure it would add flow in the tank without another powerhead. Would this idea work? could i add a pvc T to the return nozzle and run both lines through there? Or cut some of the false wall away and go over the top? any opinions?

I didn't run to a chiller but I run a pellet reactor off a cobalt 1200 pump in the second chamber. I ran the return to the first chamber next to the skimmer. I'm a bad plumber so I used quick connect fittings.

I removed the false floor in chamber one for my protein skimmer. I noticed a decent amount if room left underneath, so I added a pump and return there. I had replaced the stock pump with a MJ1200, so I used the stock pump. I just drilled a hole through the backwall a few inches up from the bottom and used lic-line fittings. I actually used a loc line circle flow (straightened out) to spread out the flow throughout the bottom of the backwall in order to eliminate dead spots.
