Looks like a nice setup and should deliver good results but you did not share aquarium specs ;) I think you are good up to about 30X30

Is that the mini or the large reflector? Either way your going to have a lot less par near the edges being 36 inches wide. How high do you plan to hang them? You might get more spread if you mount it high and sacrifice some par in the middle

I found this on a nother forum if it helps "I love my Luminarc III. It allows me to use a single MH bulb on my 36"x36" tank. I did end up going 400W and have the bulb about 12" off the water though. Still beats 2-4 250's!"

Its the Large reflector
Hanging in a floating canopy 20" off water. I was just searching for a lumen arc 3 reflector and im waiting on a guy to get back to me. But according to Sanjay i should still have 200 par 3-5" around the sides, and thats just mh not including the 2 t5s on each side.

You should be ok if you hang it high enough. I would have used the LumenMax Large instead of the LB, but it will still work.

Considering getting a Lumenarc III and returning the LB Large. Does anyone feel this would make a considerable difference? I want to be able to place acros anywhere in my tank.

Any other lighting suggestions? I wanna do this right the first time

Agreed, I have a build going in the sps forum. I sold my 120 off in June and it still took me almost 3 months to decide on equipment!! And as you can see I'm still changing stuff.
