I have a 55g with 20g sump. My sump contains approximately 15 gal giving me a total of 70g of water. I currently have my CUC which consists of a 50+ Dwarf Ceriths, 11 Nassarius, and 6 Large & 5 Small to Medium Nerites, and two hermit crabs. The only fish I have are two small (about 1.5" ea) tank bred clownfish.

I've been doing 10 gallon weekly water changes. Would 5 gallon weekly changes would be sufficient until I add more fish? Or, should I stick with the 10 gallon changes.

5 gals weekly is plenty; even for a normally stocked tank. You're changing about 30% monthly, that's a good number and weekly changes are ideal, IMO.

Thanks!

5g it is. Half the hassle and half the salt. :)

I have about the same size and have always only done 5 gal. per week. Lately have switched to every second week unless I want a water change in my QT.

I have a 90 with a 30 gallon sump. I change out 8 gallons a week. usually 2 - 4 gallon changes per week.
