I am redoing my plumbing underneath my tank. How long do I need to let the pvc glue stand before I fire up my sump??
Thanks!

I have only waited 15-20 min, but most will say 24hrs.

I have glued it and had water running within 5 minutes or so, but 24 - 48 hrs would be a better choice if you have the time.

Good deal. I am not worried about it holding together, just don't want any of the glue to leak into my aquarium and effect any livestock in my tank......

It will be fine after about 10-15 minutes. I've done it a thousand times.

Use rain and shine in about 5 minutes.

Regular solvent sets pretty quickly already, I would be afraid of a 'fast setting' solvent.

As a plumbing contractor I can vouch for the 5 minutes to 15 minutes. If you are using a hacksaw to cut your pipe, make sure to ream the burrs off for a secure fit. Your best bet would be a PVC cutting tool.
