Hi ,,,

Any one try White Lightning Silicone Rubber for making glass aquarium ?

Don't think I would want to use it. The application calls for an acetoxy cure silicone, and this one is a neutral cure... also the product data sheet says it has "excellent adhesion" but doesn't list any of the physical properties--typical of consumer grade sealants. I would pass on it, and get the Momentive product RTV100 series or SCS1200 series.

The spec sheet states under "limitations":

"Not for use below grade, on aquariums or for marine use below the water line".

i am pretty sure ALL silicone's will state that....one of the greatest enemies of silicone is water, water degrades silicone, hence no one is going to claim it will work in those situations given that characteristic. even the side of the tube of scs1200 says not for use below water
