So I think I have a mantis shrimp in my liverock after hearing clicking every night for three days straight now since I got the tank. Last owner said he'd heard the clicking as well.

So my question is now, would a freshwater dip to get him out of the rock hurt it?
I don't really wanna hurt it as i'd like it in my small nano tank.

You can try finding the rock it's hiding in and remove it

I already know wich rock it is inside. Problem is getting it out, and my nano is too small for the rock as well. Don't see myself buying a mantis trap here though, their usualy around 100 dollars.

Then sell the rock to someone local or see if a LFS will take the rock for store credit.

I would suggest posting this in the mantis shrimp forum.
