Hello fellow reefers
I finally bit the bullet and purchased the mp60wes for my 375G tank.
I have a few questions :-
Which mode do you like to run it on?
Do you use the night mode?
How high have you mounted yours from the top of the water surface?
I have it mounted at 5 inches from the water surface and every once in a while it sucks in air creating a whirlpool. :)
If I lower it will it still break the surface enough for O2 exchange?
Thanks for the inputs ..

Most of us run them mid depth and yes it will still turn the surface (air/water interface) like a jacuzzi. As for settings thats up to you, I prefer alternating long pulse and do not use night mode. Feed mode- yes.

I run mine about 1/3 from the top on a 450G mixed reef tank. I run mine on lagoon mode (I am still experimenting with this) and definitely use the feed mode. So far I have not had it ever suck air from the surface.

I have 2 MP 60s located 12 inches off the bottom of my tank and I have 2MP 40s about 18 inches from the surface. My tank is 48 inches tall. I like to ramp up the modes during the day with tidal surge, then lagoon, then a brief high intensity reef crest followed by lagoon, then tidal surge again. I use a mellow lagoon at night. The goal is to suspend detritus. I am currently experimenting with the max settings. I have closed loop flow and also flow from my sump in addition to the vortechs.

What about the noise levels? I honestly think that these things are way too loud. I can hear it in the other room when it is running at 100% :(
My tank is 1/2 inch and I used the right spacer ... Any ideas?

About 9 inches below waterline. But it's on a 90 gallon. I run reef crest at 50-60% with the mp40 antisync.

Is it me or mp60 is very loud when run over 75%?
I am not talking about the vibrations, it is the motor whining that is very annoying..

Mine is pretty quiet. Louder than the 40
