To the guys that are lucky enough to have space to mount equipment and controllers behind their DT in a garage or a basement below, What are you using for your floor and wall penetrations to keep the bugs out and the a/c in? With the amount of cables and the size of some of my connectors the standard low voltage stuff from Home Depot isn't working for me. I don't wan any permanent seals so I can add or take away as I please.

I am planning on using foam insulation and changing only when absolutely necessary.

I live in Texas and bug penetration is inevitable without complete fill.

Also seal your garage (garage door seals all around) and spray externally to keep the vermin away. Keep a high level of organization and clean your garage constantly. Few bugs in the garage will reduce the chance of bugs in the house.

Thanks but I'm looking for something non-permanent... Like a rubber or vinyl boot that can be zip tied

Or something like this http://www.legrand.us/wiremold/firestop-fittings/fs-flamestopper-thru-wall-and-thru-floor-fittings.aspx#.UGClmLe9LTo

Are you going in to your garage? Is it all low voltage or high voltage too? Any chance of using a wall plate on each side with matching connectors? You could likely use RCA/BNC for most low voltage and there is definitely ways of doing high voltage interconnects as well. Seal the interconnects, put the wall plates up for aesthetics then connect your stuff on either side.

Spray foam here as well. It isn't really permanent as you can cut it away VERY easily. But it is fire retardant and gets the job done.

I don't see the foam as permanent. You use and remove as needed.
